On todays' morning walk with my dog, I heard some very unusual bird chattering. I knew there must be some different birdlife about and, sure enough, I spotted a pair of Eastern Rosellas near me.
They are very distintive, but fast flyers, so I could really only see a flurry of red, green and blue as they flew across the street. Last spring and summer I saw 3 of them flying about in my neighborhood so I presume they had a youngster.
Sunny mornings and lovely birds makes me smile and just adds to the beauty of living in Auckland.
I found a clip of a pair in someone's yard so you can see how pretty the Eastern Rosellas are...
